It was both a challenge and a fun experience to do this shoot. We had a beautiful character apartment in a heritage building as our location, but the biggest challenge was having to be in crammed quarters. Good thing I’m short and I only had one umbrella, I managed to squeeze my way around and take these shots.
We ventured into the staircase as well, which was a great idea, except for the tenants walking by wondering what the bright flashes were all about. We even did a few shots in the bathroom – though it had to be the tiniest room I ever shot in (if I even consider myself “in” the bathroom for that shot. I’m clearly outside the doorway and shooting at a very wide angle!)
Thanks to aspiring model Kate, and the lovely Marcie for allowing us to use her apartment (and modeling too!). Andrea Pelletier’s designs can be seen at a fashion show this coming Sunday evening at the Graffiti Gallery. Should be fun!
