I came across these photos today, which were taken on film (probably HP5 black and white film) about 2 years ago. I remember developing them in the dark room and absolutely loving every minute of it. I remember the contact sheet was full of goodies - tons of great lighting, amazing tones and of course a beautiful model! This is actually my friend Jane who was kind enough to pose for me for a portrait shoot for one of my analog techniques assignments when I was in school. This just makes me itchin' to get back into the dark room. I see many dark room nights in my near future, once winter comes! (what better way to spend a cold, dark winter evening than in the dark room!)

Hi,
I am an aspiring photography student who is abolutely in love with the field and was wondering if you might have a few tips for me. I have a photo shoot coming up with my friend and it's my first time. I am more oriented towards landscape but I've been expanding into other areas more lately. Anyway, I'm doing the shoot in black and white, it's a vintage theme, and the only filters I have are a red 25, uv, and polarizing. I was wondering if you might know what the best kind would be to get for an optimized black and white portrait photography shoot. Thank you in advance.
